Nikolaos Ypsilantis is a Resident Physician in Pediatric and Adult Allergology at the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Unit of the 2nd Pediatric Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, located at “P. & A. Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, under the supervision of Professor Nikolaos Papadopoulos.
He was born in Rhodes in 1996, where he also completed his secondary education at the Rhodes College. He subsequently graduated with distinction from the Medical University of Sofia, where he earned his medical degree.
His clinical experience commenced during his military service, initially serving as a Military Physician in border units and subsequently as a Rural Service Military Physician at the Regional Clinic of Chrysomilia in Fournoi. Following his discharge, he continued to serve at the same facility in order to complete his mandatory rural medical service.
He then commenced his residency training as a Resident Physician at the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic of "P. & A. Kyriakou" Children's Hospital under the supervision of Professor M. Tsolia, and later at the 1st Propaedeutic Department of Internal Medicine at “Laiko” General Hospital of Athens under Professors P. Sfikakis and N. Tentolouris. During his internal medicine training, he presented oral presentations of complex clinical cases involving diagnostic challenges.
As of June 2025, he is continuing his residency in Pediatric and Adult Allergology at the Allergy Unit of the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He is a member of the Athens Medical Association and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI).
He is fluent in English, French, and Bulgarian.
