Maria Lappa is a medical doctor and works as a scientific associate in the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Unit of the Second Pediatric Clinic at the University of Athens. She was born in 1999 and she graduated in 2023 from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Additionally, she has participated in the ERASMUS program at the Medical University of Warsaw. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in Addictology- Treatment of addictions at the University of Athens. She has participated in a research exchange at the American University of Beirut and has been involved in writing scientific articles.
Her achievements include participating in the EUROSCOLA program and representing Greece at the Debate Science - EuroScience Open Forum 2016 Conference. Currently, she is involved in the European study SynAir-G, which examines the impact of indoor pollutants and viruses/microbes on the health of school-aged children.
