Maria Dimou is a Pediatric- Allergist and scientific associate of the Allergology and Clinical Immunology Unit of the Second Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens.
She graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is specialist in Pediatrics and she worked as a Consultant at the Pediatric Clinic of Karolinska Children's Hospital, while during her tenure she specialized in Pediatric Allergology, obtaining the official title of Pediatric Allergist
She also received the Honorary Diploma of the European Title of Pediatric Allergist (EAACI). She then worked as a Consultant in the Pediatric Allergology Department of the First Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens, while until today she works as a Pediatric -Allergist in a private Clinic in Stockholm. She is a member of EAACI, the Greek ARIA team and the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Allergology. She participates as a teacher in the post-graduate program of “Rhinology-Nasal Surgery” with a focus on Aerobiology. She has attended seminars primarily related to rhinitis and asthma, while she has participated as a speaker in conferences.
She is preparing her doctoral thesis on allergic rhinitis. She had a coordinating role in a multicenter study on allergic rhinitis. She prepared an aerobiological study in Attica with a pollen record for the year 2018, for which he received an award in the context of the “State of the Art” 2019. She has participated in the preparation of ARIA studies on rhinitis in Greece.
