Στις 19 Απριλίου 2024, το Research.com On April 19, 2024, Research.com published its third annual ranking of the top scientists in the field of immunology. Professor Nikolaos G. Papadopoulos, Head of the Allergy Department of 2nd Pediatric Clinic of NKUA, was ranked 1st in Greece and 510th in the world. He was also honored with the Immunology Leader Award for 2024.

The purpose of this list is to showcase the contributions of scientists and professionals to the academic community through their research efforts. It also aims to help students, organizations, and decision-makers in identifying and connecting with top immunology researchers and experts. The ranking is based on an examination of more than 4,300 scientist profiles from sources such as OpenAlex and CrossRef. To be considered for the ranking, scholars must have a D-index score of at least 40 and must have made significant contributions to the field of immunology.
